    The combination of the processing conditions and the coating layer formulation, which includes Exceed™ performance polymers and Escor™ ethylene acrylic acid copolymer resins, provides*:

    Colines will also demonstrate a new high-speed wrapping technology, ALLWRAPPER®, which uses a special stretch wrap film, including ExxonMobil Chemical high-performance polymers, to bundle a range of products from bottles and cans to carton drink bricks in a continuous process.  Designed to replace collation shrink film, the technology uses less energy as a shrink tunnel is not required.  It also allows similar or better stability (testing by ESTL equipment) to be achieved using less film for lower packaging weight.  A unique feature of the technology is that the wrapping film can be cut at high speeds, through thick bundles and operate in-line with the package filling operations.

    The benefits of cross-value chain cooperation to create differentiated solutions will be demonstrated at the CMD booth (Hall 3 / G05). The cooperation combines ExxonMobil Chemical’s Vistamaxx performance polymers, CMD’s machinery technology with the expertise of value chain partners Granic, a leading producer of masterbatch compounds, and KIVO Plastic Verpakkingen.

    CMD will produce high-quality trash bags on the CMD 1270GDS Global Drawtape Bag Making System and 0305GOWE Global Overlap Bag Winder-Enhanced. The machines enable high speed production and excellent winding cycle rates for perf-connected or overlap wound bags.

    The 60 liter drawtape style bags are made from a 15 micron film produced by KIVO using a high-performance CaCO₃ masterbatch, Granic 1522, using Vistamaxx polymers.

    Using a Vistamaxx polymer-based CaCo3 masterbatch in film formulations instead of a typical linear low density (LLDPE) or polypropylene (PP)-based masterbatch, can enable the following key advantages:

    • Masterbach allowing increased filler loadings without sacrificing mechanical properties
    • Enhanced dart impact resistance for thinner films
    • Improved film processing
